frische blumen is a text-based installation, first realized at DerRaum e.V. in 2024. adaptable in size and dimension, its aim is to create contemporary presence through the usage of baroque leitmotifs such as vanitas and memento mori. its morbid atmosphere is contrasted by the softness of handwriting and the flower as a symbol of natural beauty, fragility and femininity.

the metal frame of the mirror is breaking this softness, while the mirror itself allows the audience to merge with the work of art, fusing into one temporal entity. while the work oscillates between text, installation, intervention and drawing, its message finds its way towards the audience in an almost secondary manner.
